About Julie A. Wear
Today, Wear is internationally recognized for her masterful Thoroughbred paintings and her work is synonymous with timeless beauty within the classical tradition of sporting art. Her reputation for presenting the horse with credibility, life and accuracy has made her work highly sought after by owners and breeders of champion racehorses and retired bloodstock domestically and abroad. She has painted many graded stakes winners and dams of stakes winners. For years the artist has met a demanding commission schedule to portray such champions as Storm Cat, Seattle Slew, Winning Colors, Lady's Secret, Banshee Breeze, Serena's Song, Tiznow, Real Quiet, Victory Gallop, Favorite Trick, Dayjur and Shirley Heights for their owners and breeders including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As retired manager of The Royal Stud, Michael Oswald states, "This is the finest Thoroughbred portraiture I've ever seen." Wear's paintings hang in private and Royal Collections around the world.

was born to be an artist. As a youngster, drawing horses was her all consuming passion.
